Obituaries

TraVon Marshae Dejarnette, 34, of Axton, Virginia passed away Friday, December 13, 2024. He was born June 17, 1990, in Danville, Virginia to Steven Dejarnette and Tammy Jo Niblett Dejarnette.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James Dejarnette and Nannie Dejarnette; maternal grandfather, Claude Niblett; and his beloved dog, Sasha.

TraVon was of the Jehovah Witness faith. He was a 2008 graduate of Tunstall High School and a 2010 graduate of Patrick Henry Community College, where he graduated with an associate’s degree in graphic design. He had a love for the Field Service Ministry. In his free time, you could find him using his amazing talents drawing, coloring and shading outstanding and one of a kind artwork, being creative with floral design; all while listening to his favorite music. TraVon had a love for his sister and his family that was unexplainable. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Teaira Paige Rowland (Jake); maternal grandmother, Pauline Niblett; special aunt, Sandra Stanley (Wayne); numerus aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and extended family.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, December 22, 2024, at 4:00 PM, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness located at 118 Jenny Lane, Danville, Virginia. The Memorial Service will be available to view by Zoom. Zoom Meeting ID#: 85730196795 and Passcode: 603189.
