Obituaries

Vincent Arnold Riggs, 64, of Axton, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at his residence. He was born July 28, 1958 in Stuart, Virginia, to Virginia Purdy Riggs and the late David O’neil Riggs. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brothers, Jeff, Mike, and Dean Riggs.

He was a member of Chatham Heights Baptist Church, and had retired as a carpenter. He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and Westerns; he loved his truck and his fur baby, L.D.

Vincent is survived by his mother; his wife, Debra Cochran Riggs; son, Robert Cochran (Christine); daughters, Michelle Evans and Lakyn Cochran; sister, Rhonda Walker; sister-in-law, Pam Riggs; brothers, Gene Riggs (Tammy) and Sam Riggs (Eileen); step-mother, Margaret Riggs; and grandchildren, R. J., Christian, and Kyndal Cochran.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
