Update: The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office has identified two people found dead Saturday inside a Gretna home as Cody Saltsman and Caitlin Unterman.
Pittsylvania County authorities are investigating after two people were found dead Saturday inside a Gretna home after a vehicle crashed into the residence. The crash was reported about 12:50 p.m. in the 12,000 block of East Gretna Road. While checking the home, emergency crews found circumstances that prompted a law enforcement response. Deputies found a 31-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman dead with apparent gunshot wounds. Their names are being withheld pending family notification.
