RiverStreet files for bankruptcy

RiverStreet Networks has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection after Virginia removed the company from delayed broadband projects. The company announced Wednesday that it has an agreement to sell its assets. In Henry, Patrick and Franklin counties, RiverStreet connected just 40 of more than 14-thousand planned customers—none in Patrick County. State and local officials are seeking replacement providers.
