An upper level system looks to push through the area overnight tonight, which will bring another batch of snow showers and flurries to higher elevations.

Gusty winds overnight combined with bitterly cold temperatures will lead to very cold wind chills across the area. Below normal temperatures continue through the end of the work week and into the weekend as another system pushes into the region out of the south on Friday, which looks to bring widespread snowfall for a majority of the region Friday afternoon into Saturday.

The National Weather Service in Blacksburg is calling for Martinsville to get between one and three inches.

AEP says power is restored to all but a handful of customers in Henry and Patrick counties after the winter storm earlier this week. Franklin County still had 1,920 customers without power as of this morning.
