A Bassett man was arrested April 24 following a drug investigation at a Riverside Drive residence, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies executing a search warrant said the suspect briefly fled, discarded suspected methamphetamine and Schedule II pills, and later admitted involvement in distribution.
A search of his vehicle uncovered digital scales and cell phones.
Authorities also determined that children lived in the home; Social Services took custody and placed them with a family member.
Gregory Ray Meade, 54, was charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and Schedule II narcotics and is being held without bond.
