Obituaries

Arthur Lee Dandridge, Jr., 64, of Fieldale, Virginia, passed away Sunday, October 1, 2023 at his residence. He was born October 12, 1958, in Martinsville, Virginia, to Gwendolyn Callaway Eggleston and the late Arthur Lee Dandridge, Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandchildren, DeAngelo Waller, DeAngelo Waller II, and DeMargeo Waller.

He was a graduate of G. W. Carver High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a faithful member of the Greater Tabernacle of Praise, and had been employed as a truck driver for over 40 years. He enjoyed singing, praising the Lord, watching football, hunting, fishing, and trying new foods, and especially loved spending time with his children and grandkids.

Arthur is survived by his mother; his wife, Patricia Clark Dandridge; daughters, Latia Dandridge, Alisha Dandridge, Marquitta Clark, Lolitha Barksdale (Wendell), and Montia Spencer; brothers, Anthony Dandridge, Alvin Dandridge and Bernard Dandridge; 16 grandchildren; and his grand puppy “Mimi”.

The funeral will be Sunday, October 8, 2023, at 2:00 PM, at Greater Tabernacle of Praise, 252 Golf Course Road, Stuart, Virginia, with Pastor Melton Roberson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Trinity Church of the Living God, 356 Tatum Lane, Stuart, with Elder Frank Tatum officiating.
