Bernice Paschall McDaniel, 97, of Martinsville, Va. passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025. She was born August 20, 1928, in Reidsville, NC to Arthur Lee Paschall and Ruth Roach Paschall.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clay E. McDaniel; daughter, Janice McDaniel Huppertt; brothers, A.L. “Bill” Pascall, Jr. and Lesse Paschall.

She is survived by her daughter, Ramona McDaniel; granddaughters, Sharon Huppertt Hewitt (Chris) and Stephanie Huppertt Hige (Craig); great grandchildren, Abigail Hewitt, Colin Hewitt, Miya Hige and Graham Hige; sisters, Velma Pascall Collins and Maudine Lovelace; many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bernice was a very giving and loving Christian lady to all of her family and friends. Whenever someone needed help, she would be there for them. She was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church in Axton, Va. She worked at the Martinsville Hardware Supply store and later retired from Tultex Outlet where she was the assistant manager.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Roselawn Burial Park and will be officiated by Pastor Wayne Rigney.
