Obituary For Beverly Brooks Morgan
Beverly Brooks Morgan, 83, of Fieldale, Virginia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Stanleytown Health and Rehab in Bassett, Virginia. She was born on September 18, 1942, in Person, North Carolina, to the late Albert Lee Brooks and Sadie Louise Brooks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lewis William Morgan.
Beverly was a devoted wife and a true Proverbs 31 woman whose life reflected grace, strength, and steadfast faith. She walked daily with the Lord, drawing renewed strength from Him and continually seeking His wisdom through prayer.
She loved her family deeply, her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was known for her bright smile, her laughter, and the love she poured into everyone she met. A caring and compassionate woman, Beverly was a devoted caregiver who lovingly tended to her parents, her husband, and many others within her community.
Her heart for others was also seen in her garden, which she often planted not for herself, but to bless those in need. She loved growing flowers, visiting those in need, and had a thrifty, creative spirit that touched every part of her life.
Beverly devoted over 40 years to Henry County Public Schools as an elementary teacher, inspiring generations of young students through her kindness, patience, and passion for education.
She was a faithful member of Bassett Memorial United Methodist Church, where she served in many roles including the choir, bell choir, Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, Bible study, and community outreach—helping distribute meals to those in need. When Bassett Memorial closed, she continued her service and faith journey as a member of First Baptist Church of Bassett, sharing the Gospel and living out her calling to serve others.
Left to cherish her memory are her three children, John “Brooks” Morgan (Lisa), Christy Fisher (Joseph), and Robert “Rob” William Morgan (Whitney); ten grandchildren, Cameron Morgan, Amber Morgan, Noah Fisher, Carter Fisher, Oakley Fisher (Anna), Jackson Fisher, Janie Fisher, Lindsey Ferguson, Kennedy Snyder, and Fisher Morgan; along with many other beloved family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, at First Baptist Church – Bassett at 11:00am with Pastor Doug Ramsey, officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Burial Park.
Bassett Funeral Service is honored to serve the Morgan family.
