Billy Charles Robertson, 71, of Ferrum, Virginia, closed his earthly book of life on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the Carilion Franklin Memorial in Rocky Mount, Virginia. He was born on April 13, 1952, in Franklin County, Virginia, to the late Byrd Willie Roberston and the late Virginia Craig Roberston. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters: Evelyn R. Hagwood, Elsie R. Legans, Cora Robertson, Virginia R. Legans, and Shirley R. Gill; and two brothers, Thomas Robertson and Byrd Robertson Jr.

Billy was a member of Oak Hill Cathedral of Glory, where he served as a deacon, janitor, and usher. He was also a truck driver for over 40 years. He enjoyed cleaning cars, lawn care, and sitting on the porch.

Billy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elder Donna K. Robertson; three daughters, Tanisa R. Turner, Shadonna E. Lomax (James), and Takara A. Robertson; one son, Letroy D. Robertson; one sister, Mary R. Mattox; two brothers, Leonard Robinson (Juanita) and Rev. Samuel Robinson (Deborah); eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A funeral will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at the Oak Hill Cathedral of Glory in Bassett, Virginia, with Dr. Todd Foster as the eulogist and Rev. Samuel Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. A burial will follow immediately after the service at the Robertson Family Cemetery in Ferrum, Virginia.
