Obituaries

Mr. Brandon Duane Belton, age 37, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2025. He was born in Martinsville, Virginia to Christie Michelle Compton and Jeffery Duane Belton.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, David and Frances Belton; maternal grandfather, J. B. Compton and grandmother, Diane Woods.

Brandon was employed at Martinsville Concrete where he enjoyed his job and co-workers. Brandon was affectionately known as “B” by those who knew and loved him. He was a loving father figure, son, fiancée, brother and friend. He fiercely loved his fiancée Haley and her two sons, Landon and Tanner. He lived life to the fullest and worked hard to provide for those he loved. Brandon had a smile that could light up any room and he was the life of the party. He overcame many obstacles in his life and was proud of his accomplishments. Brandon was meticulous about his hair and his overall appearance. He will forever be missed by his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Christie Compton (Travis Weaver); father, Jeff Belton; fiancée, Haley McAlexander and her two sons, Landon and Tanner; stepfather, Chris Gray; maternal grandmother, Hazel Compton; brothers, Todd Gray and Joseph Belton; Derrick Spencer; sister, Taylor Belton; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.

The funeral will be held Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Clearview Wesleyan Church, 925 Barrows Mill Road, Martinsville, Virginia 24112, with Pastor Charlie Carter and Deacon Kevin Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow at Blackberry Baptist Church Cemetery, 3241 Stones Dairy Road, Bassett, Virginia 24055. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
