David William Foster, 62, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025. He was born in Martinsville on July 13, 1963, to the late Charlie William Foster and Ruby Francis Vaughn Foster.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Ashlee Renay Foster.

David was of the Christian faith and attended Community Fellowship Church where he found a loving church family and developed a strong faith in Christ. David worked many years in construction. In his leisure time, he was a sports fan who particularly enjoyed NASCAR and NFL football. He also loved being outdoors and often found pleasure in fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, or driving his truck.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Dustin William Foster (Tonya), Joshua David Foster; sister, Rhonda Foster Handy (John S. Tobler); niece, Cassandra Dawn Foster; nephew, Christopher William Tobler; lifetime companion, Veronica Elaine Swinney Foster; and a host of extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, November 7, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Martinsville Chapel.
