Obituaries

Frances Caudill Baker, 91, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Mulberry Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on February 13, 1934, in West Virginia, to the late Edgar Leonard Caudill and Cordie Elizabeth Buckner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Lee Baker, Sr., and her son, Henry Stuart “Poppy” Baker.

Frances dedicated many years of her life to serving others as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She also enjoyed spending time playing word games.

She is survived by her daughter, Mitzy D. Ingle (Gary); her son, David Lee Baker, Jr.; three grandchildren, Danny Hutchinson (Christie), Garrett Ingle (Jennifer), and Dustin Baker; and three great-grandchildren, Morgan Hutchinson, Alex Ingle, and Oliver Ingle.

All services will be private.
