Obituary For Francine Moore Manns

Mother Francine Moore Manns, 74, of Bassett, Virginia, went home to be with her Father on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospice House in Roanoke, Virginia. Born on April 22, 1950, to the late Earl Moore Sr. and Bertha Penn Moore, she was preceded in death by her brother, Earl Moore Jr., and her three sisters, Aritha Peatross, Sandra Estes, and Valerie Moore.

A devoted woman of faith, Mother Manns was a cherished member of Refuge Temple Ministries, where she served faithfully as the Church Mother. She lovingly prepared the Communion table for church members during Holy Communion and brought warmth and dedication to every service. A true beacon within her church community, her radiant smile, comforting words, and genuine compassion inspired everyone who knew her. Her unwavering faith and readiness to help others left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of crossing her path.

After dedicating 30 years to Stanley Furniture, Mother Manns continued her commitment to service by working part-time at Goodwill after retirement. She had a great passion for shopping, particularly for clothes, which brought her delight. Spending time with her children and grandchildren brought her immense joy, and she treasured every moment with her family.

Mother Francine is survived by her loving husband, Buddy Lee Manns; her three daughters, Annessa Addair Manns, Jillquetta Oyama Barbour (Perry), and Serita Danielle Willis; her son, Brandon Ranzell Manns; seven grandsons, Jamahl Preston, Dameron Wells, Courtlan Manns, Marquise Manns, Quenton Hairston, Deonte Hairston, and Xavier Manns; one great grandson, Tristian Thompson; two expecting great grandchildren; two brothers, Terry Moore and Harold Moore; her cherished fur baby, Barkley; and a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Refuge Temple Ministries, with Bishop Alan Preston officiating. The family will welcome friends thirty minutes prior to the service, followed by burial at Carver Memorial Gardens.

Bassett Funeral Service is serving the Manns family.
