Obituaries

George Thomas "Tommy" Holley, 64, of Martinsville, passed away Monday, August 1, 2022, at his home. He was born March 8, 1958, in Fieldale, Virginia, to the late Jesse Judson Holley, Sr. and Ruth Ann Walker Hughes. He was a trustee of The Eagles Aerie #3739, and enjoyed music, motorcycles, fishing, gardening and camping.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jesse Judson Holley, Jr. and Michael Shawn Holley.

Tommy is survived by his daughter, Cheyenne Shaffer; sisters, Rebecca Holley Pierce and Melissa Holley Solomon; nieces, Tiffany Williams and Christy Solomon; nephews, Michael Holley and Judson Holley; and a host of great-nieces and a great-nephew.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at 4:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Neil Pressley officiating. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be private.
