Obituaries

Helen Collie King, 77, of Martinsville, Virginia, entered her eternal rest Thursday, November 6, 2025. She was born in Martinsville on April 9, 1948, to the late William Scott Collie and Bessie Anderson Collie.

Helen was a woman of Christian faith who loved the Lord. She found strength in her faith community at Stanleytown Amazing Grace Baptist Church and enjoyed watching Christian television programs. She found fulfillment in her career as a professional pet sitter where she would lovingly care for animals. Helen loved to travel and enjoyed visiting places like the parkway, Florida, Disney World, and the beach. She was a loving wife to her husband, Sam, for 46 years and spent a lifetime making memories with him.

Along with her husband, Helen is survived by her sister, Eunice Paulett, and extended family and friends.

Services will be held at a later date. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support that has been shown during this time of grief.
