Jadakuis Tysean Mitchell, 23, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. He was born May 19, 2000 in Martinsville, to Lavon Mitchell and Christopher Swanson (Lacoma Swanson).

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, P. J. Miller and Delois Mitchell.

He attended Martinsville High School and Deliverance Faith Temple. He enjoyed hanging out with his children and friends, shopping, and playing games.

In addition to his parents, Jadakuis is survived by his sons, Jayce Mitchell, Major Brandon and Loyal Brandon; soon-to-be-born daughter, Jada Mitchell; sister, Janaya Swanson; brothers, Demartae Mitchell, Javion Mitchell, Ja’Quan Swanson and Ja’Mari Swanson; and his paternal grandparents, Leon and Lillian Swanson.

The funeral will be Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 1:00 PM, at Reach Out Apostolic Tabernacle Church, 225 Brenda Drive, Axton, with Pastor Kaye Waller officiating. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at Fair Haven Memorial Park.

There will also be a floating visitation on Tuesday, November 7, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
