Obituaries

Jesse Wayne Walker, 42, of Hickory, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025. He was born in Amarillo, Texas, November 13, 1982, to Suzanne Bee Caroll and the late James Dempsey Walker.

Jesse will be remembered for his outgoing personality and his friendly demeaner. He was a straight-A student who had a photographic memory and could excel academically without studying. He won numerous awards and loved learning, even to the point of teaching himself Spanish. Even though his dream was to be a Marine, he found a meaningful career as a maintenance technician with Precision Materials. He loved to weld and in his leisure time, Jesse enjoyed being outdoors. Whether hiking or simply watching the sunrise or sunset, Jesse appreciated the beauty in everything around him.

In addition to his mother, Jesse is survived by his sister, Holly Walker; and two nephews.

The family wishes to express their gratitude for the care and support shown during their time of grief.
