Obituaries

Linda Diane Smith Glasgow, 70, of Danville, Virginia, transitioned from this earthly life Thursday, October 30, 2025. She was born in Eden, North Carolina, on April 1, 1955, to the late Ernest Gilmer Smith, Jr. and Mildred Estelle Booth Smith.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Bart Glasgow.

Linda had an incredible work ethic, and it was evident in the many places she worked over the years. She enjoyed being with people and was excellent in customer service and the food industry. She managed the restaurants 220 Steak & Seafood and Western Steer. More recently, she was a cashier at Meadow Green Shell. Although a hard worker, she found time to enjoy the simple pleasures of life like being outdoors, visiting the beach, and swimming. Linda loved dogs of every kind.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Joyce Wilson Martin (husband, Tim); sons, Charles Kenneth Wilson (wife, Kim), Justin Shea Glasgow; sister, Vicky Gauldin (husband, Kenneth); brothers, Tony Smith, Steve Smith; grandchildren, Alysia Wilson, Dakota Wilson (wife, Kelsey), and Brittany Martin; great-grandchild, Skylar Sink; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

The family wishes to express their gratitude for the care and support that has been shown during this time of grief. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice which assists those who face the challenges of dementia.
