Obituaries

Matthew Douglas Ingram, 47, of Ridgeway, Virginia, entered into his eternal rest Monday, September 8, 2025. He was born September 12, 1977, in Martinsville, Virginia to Douglas Albert Ingram (Kathy Trout) and Sylvia Stephens Winn Queen (Robert “Bobby” Queen).

He was preceded in death by his son, Richard “Austin” Ingram.

Matthew was of the Christian faith and attended Ayersville Baptist Church, Mayodan, North Carolina. He attended Magna Vista High School and worked many years in the restaurant industry. Matthew was a good-hearted, giving man who loved his children and their mother. He was known for helping others before he would do for himself. He had a large personality and loved to crack jokes with his friends and family. One of his favorite pastimes was fishing with his best friend, Allen.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Mattie Ingram and Riley Ingram, as well as their mother, Amber Ingram; brother, Thomas “Tommy” Ingram (Angie); stepbrother, Wesley Queen (Teresa); lifelong friend, Allen Saunders. He is also survived by his aunt, Sandy Hill (Dean); cousins, Adam Hill, Bryan Hill; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Tony Gray and Pastor Randy Jessup officiating.
