Obituaries

Phyllis Lynn Robertson Spencer, 74, of Spencer, Virginia, transitioned to her heavenly home Wednesday, June 18, 2025. She was born September 26, 1951, to the late Ava Adean Thompson Robertson and Aubrey Leonard Robertson.

Phyllis was a member of the Horsepasture Christian Church. In her free time, she loved reading and was an avid pianist. She enjoyed the beach and traveling, but more than anything enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband, James E. Spencer, Jr.; daughter, Tonya Davis (Jason); son, Matt Spencer (Shannon); sister, Carolyn Compton; brother, A.L. Robertson (Robin); and grandchildren, Preston Davis, Nathan Davis, Dylan Spencer, and Caden Spencer.

A memorial service will be held on June 24, 2025, at 5:30 PM at Horsepasture Christian Church with Pastor Kyle Thompson officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Horsepasture Christian Church Cemetery.
