Obituaries

Ramona "Monie" Carol Bays Lineberry, 85, of Martinsville, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025. She was born in Hillsville, Virginia, August 9, 1939, to the late William Thomas Bays, and Alice Irene Parnell Bays.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lineberry; sisters, Bonnie Everett, and Virginia Abbott; and her brother, Thomas “Tommy” Bays.

Monie was a member of Wilson Street Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed working in her yard, visiting yard sales, and spending time with her family and friends. She always referred to her neighbors as being “so good”. Ramona was a breast cancer survivor.

Monie is survived by her sisters, Margie White, and Frances Primm (Gene); several nieces, nephews; great nieces and great nephews.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Coulson Church of the Brethren Church Cemetery in Hillsville, Virginia, with Pastor J.D. Rotenizer officiating. A visitation will be held Monday, April 28, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
