Obituaries

Reuben Keith Nance, 55, of Fieldale, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was born on May 20, 1969, in Martinsville, Virginia, to Frankie Nance and Frances Harding. He was preceded in death by his brother, Matthew Nance.

Reuben was an automobile technician at Gregory Auto Body Shop. A devoted member of Osborne Baptist Church, he actively participated in various church activities and had a passion for ministry. His faith led him to serve as a missionary in Africa for several months.

He had a love for fishing and cherished spending time with his family. Reuben also enjoyed dirt car racing, loved riding motorcycles and had a deep appreciation for restoring classic cars. Known for his sense of humor and humble spirit, he brought laughter and joy to those around him.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Marsha Nance; his children, Zoe Nance and Tyler Nance; his brother, Frankie Nance Jr.; his sister, Toni Worley (Scott); nephews, Luke (Emily), Logan, Scotty, Carson, and Raylan; one niece, Dakota; one great-niece, Rilynn; his sister-in-law, Ashley Gallegos (Matt); a special aunt, Nina Lemons; his mother-in-law, Sandra Holley; and a host of extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 3:00pm at Osborne Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
