Rickey Dennis Clark, 70, of Fieldale, Virginia, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Sovah Health of Martinsville. He was born November 23, 1953, in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Clarence Swetlin Clark, Jr and Frieda Louise Hill Clark, and Harry “Jack” Hill and Ellen C. Hill and brother, Ronnie Lee Clark.

Rickey was in the US Navy and served during the Vietnam War. He was of the Baptist Faith had to have his coffee every morning. He loved being with his friends and family and was a straightforward person, telling you what he thought. He was a fire healer and loved to dance “cutting a rug.” In his spare time, he enjoyed NASCAR racing, music, the beach, and his coffee. He was a fire healer.

Rickey Dennis Clark is survived by his two sons, Dennis Keith Clark and Joshua Clark; daughter, Tonya Renea Clark Ratcliff (Teddy); sisters, Sharon Clark Gilbert and Frieda “Diane” Clark Caudill; grandchildren, Angel Raine Ratcliff, Ethan Roosevelt Ratcliff, and Cloey Renea Ratcliff; great grandchild, Cymani Amour-Roze Blackwell; cousin, Marcy Suzanne Orren; niece, Amber Davis Clark; nephews, Russell T. Gilbert, Ashley E. Gilbert, Quinton N. Gilbert and Travis Lee Davis; Aunt Shirley C. Delano; uncles, Harold “Pee Wee” Clark, Billy Clark, and many cousins and great nieces.

A private Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.
