Robert “Bob” Marion Skinner, 67, of Ridgeway, VA passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023. He was born March 2, 1956 in Danville, VA to Marion Lovelace Skinner and the late Robert Oliver Skinner.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Kimberly Ann Skinner; step-sons, Cody Lopez and Nick Lopez (Jessica); brother, William Cary Skinner; sisters, Rhonda Skinner and Terese McCroskey (Craig); and nieces, Katie Mays (Mason) and Danielle Atwood (Ethan). Also surviving are two great-nieces, Abigail and Sarah, and two great-nephews, Slate and Timmy; and his fur babies, Gracie, Charlie, and Bella.

Bob worked as a computer programmer and was employed throughout the years at Bassett Walker, Bassett Furniture, Tultex, and most recently, Norfolk Southern. He enjoyed watching the Packers, Tarheels, and the History Channel. He met his wife, Kim, playing volleyball, a sport they enjoyed together.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023 at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel with Pastor Doug Ramsey officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. prior to the service and other times at the home.
