Obituary For Robert Lee Reynolds

Robert Lee Reynolds, 76, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025, at SOVAH Health in Martinsville. He was the loving husband of Mary Ellen Reynolds for 54 years. Born October 6, 1949, he was the youngest son of the late Lemley and Louise Spencer Reynolds of Patrick County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Gary Waller.

Robert was a proud veteran, having faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a dedicated and hardworking man. He spent over 30 years employed in manufacturing following his military service and retired from M & W Windows in 2005. He was a member of Ross Harbor Methodist Church in Stuart. Robert appreciated seeing new places and particularly enjoyed visiting the Great Smoky Mountains. He also loved a good meal, especially when prepared by his beloved wife. Above all, Robert was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished being with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Robert Reynolds II (Crystal) and Michael Reynolds (Daphnee); one daughter, Stephanie Greer (Clayton); six grandchildren, Layton Shifflett, Timothy Powers, Ainslee Reynolds, Claire Reynolds, Chase Reynolds, and Caroline Reynolds; two brothers, Richard Reynolds (Hannah) and Edgar Reynolds (Beatrice); two sisters, Marie Waller and Carol Faye Reynolds; and a host of other loving relatives.

The family would like to thank the staff of Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart for the wonderful care provided to Robert for the last seven years.
