Sheila Cope Thomas, 59, of Ridgeway, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. She was born April 4, 1965, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Carl Cope and Evelyn McClamrock Cope.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mickie Smith and Ellen Farmer; and brother, Walter Cope.

Sheila loved being with her grandchildren and family. She did more for everyone else than she did for herself. She had a big heart and cared for everyone. She never met a stranger. Sheila loved working with people and got along with everyone. She had a forgiving attitude.

She is survived by her daughter, Adriana Carter (Ondrea II); son, Zachary Mickles; sisters, Jennie Trent (Cotton) and Daisie Riddle (Greg); brother, William Cope (Jacqueline); grandchildren, Andrea Carter, Ondrea Carter III, and Emery Mickles; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 4:00 PM at Mount Hermon Church of The Brethren with Pastor Teddy Britton officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 5:00 pm at Wright Funeral Service.
