Obituaries

Victor Dwight Robinson, 68, of Martinsville, Virginia, entered his eternal rest Thursday, October 30, 2025. He was born on August 4, 1957, in Galax, Virginia, to the late Gilbert Robinson and Rosa Marie Brown Robinson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Gilbert H. Robinson, Jr. and Stanley Gordan Robinson.

Victor was of the Christian faith and a member of Christian View Missionary Baptist Church where he found a loving faith community. He loved his church and was always eager to help wherever needed. He was a graduate of George Washington Carver High School and worked over two decades as a truck driver. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life including cars and going fishing, but nothing compared to the deep love he had for his family. Victor was a man who lived a full life and his memory will be kept alive by those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughter, Desiree Penn; brother, Walter Robinson (Jo Ann); and grandchild, Makias Smith.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 12:30 PM at Christian View Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be one-half hour prior to the service. Beginning Wednesday, November 5, 2025, friends and extended family will be received from 3:00-7:00 PM at the home.
