William Edward Meade, 61, of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Sovah Health – Martinsville. He was born on June 4, 1963, to Sam Blaine Meade, who survives, and the late Lola Mullins Meade.

William was employed at Blue Ridge Remodeling for 19 years before becoming disabled. He cherished time with his family, especially his granddaughter. A kind and devoted man, he found joy in the company of his loved ones. At home, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and took pride in his skills as a true jack-of-all-trades, capable of fixing almost anything, from plumbing to electrical work and more.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 31 years, Glenda Turner Meade; his father, Sam Blaine Meade; his daughter, Brandi Pierce; his granddaughter, his angel, Kaitlyn Pierce; three brothers, Michael Meade (Phyllis), David Meade, and Greg Meade (Beth); his niece, Ashley Hughes; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel, with Pastor Jason Alverson officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service and other times the home. Burial will follow at Henry Memorial Park.
