William Wayne “Billy” Bennett, 74, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023. He was born April 28, 1949, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Russell Wayne Bennett and Christine Bennett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Jones Bennett.

Billy attended Landmark Baptist Church and was a Martinsville High School Graduate.

He is survived by his sons, Jonathan Bennett (Kevin) and Joe Bennett (Kerri); grandchildren, Courtney Bennett and Joseph Christopher Bennett; and step-grandchildren, Kayliegh Bowling, and Jake Corya.

The funeral will be Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Reverend Dr. J.D. Harmon officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park.
