An off-duty Danville police officer faces charges after allegedly firing into a car Sunday morning on South Main Street. Neither occupant was injured. State police charged 22-year-old Jayquan Morton with attempted malicious wounding and several firearm offenses. He was arrested during a traffic stop this morning in Danville and will be placed on leave without pay.
