Martinsville Bulletin hit with cyberattack

The local Martinsville Bulletin reported on Thursday that it’s parent company, Lee Enterprises is still recovering from a cyber attack on Feb. 3 that encrypted critical applications and stole data. The hack has hobbled newspapers in more than 70 markets including in Virginia the Martinsville Bulletin, Danville Register & Bee, The Roanoke Times, Richmond Times-Dispatch, and papers in Lynchburg, Bristol, Charlottesville, Culpeper, Fredericksburg, Rocky Mount, Waynesboro and Wytheville.
