Alice Wilson Dunn, 82, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2023 in Martinsville, VA. She was born on February 21, 1941 in Danville, VA to the late Harvey and Geraldine Wilson. Alice was formerly married to the late Charles Leigh Daniel of Martinsville, whom she had 4 children with. She was later married to the late Kenneth R Dunn of Florida.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, son John Daniel (Terry) of Kentucky, and grandchildren John Harvey Claybrook and Leigh Ann Daniel.

Alice was survived by her children Teresa Daniel of Martinsville,VA; Sherri Daniel of Ridgeway, VA; and Susan Daniel of Martinsville, VA; Grandchildren, Louis Norton, Joanna Jones (Johnny), Amanda Claybrook, Daniel Claybrook, Shelby Coleman, Ashley Daniel, Charles Blake Daniel, Bailey Daniel, Kara Gilley (Kevin), Zachary Koger (Stephanie), David Koger (Casey), Jonathan Frazier, and 12 great-grandchildren. She was also survived by her sisters, Alma Shumate, Judy Adkins, and Anna James (Butch) in Danville, VA.

Throughout her life, Alice was an avid crafter and seamstress, making everything out of anything. She loved to cook and was known for her sweet hospitality and generosity. She always found an opportunity to tell a good joke.

The family would like to thank Mulberry Creek, The Suncrest home and Mountain Valley Hospice for their care in her last days.

A private memorial service to celebrate the life of Alice will be held at the family gravesite in Cascade, VA. The family will receive friends and family at the residence of her granddaughter Kara Gilley.
