Obituaries

Bernice “Ann” Myers Millner, 75, of, Danville, Virginia, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023. She was born May 19, 1948, in Callands, Virginia, to Marcella Pinkard Myers Dickerson and the late Russell Lee Myers. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Fannie Mae Guess and Ernestine T. Myers.

She was a member of Hope in Christ Apostolic Church and attended Patrick Henry Community College. She loved her children and was a devoted wife who loved her husband very much.

Ann is survived by her mother; her husband, James Wendell Millner, Sr.; daughters, Dominique Williams (Tyree), Myesha Millner, Wendella Millner, Wandnella Millner, and Lynetta Millner; sons, James W. Millner, Jr. and Lamar Millner; sisters, Rosie Fuller (Jamie), Eva Myers and Clara J. Junious (William); brother, Russell L. Myers, Jr.; and fifteen grandchildren.

The funeral will be Friday, August 11, 2023, at 1:00 PM, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, 1425 Greensboro Road, Martinsville, with Pastor Hairston officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Waller Cemetery, Callands.

A floating Visitation will be Thursday, August 10, 2023, from 12:00 to 5:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
