David Joel Keith, 73, of Ridgeway, Virginia passed away Friday, October 28, 2022 at his home. He was born May 13, 1949 in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Virgle L. Keith and Avis B. Keith.

David is survived by his wife of 52 years, Phyllis Ashby Keith; son and daughter in law, Michael and Shannon Keith; daughter and son in law, Diane and Hamouda Gabigabe; sister, Denise Peal (Ron); brothers, Gary Keith (GiGi) and Thomas Keith (Vanessa); grandchildren, John D. Oakes, Tyler Moore, Noah Moore, and Kayla Moran; four great grandchildren.

He retired from Old Dominion Freight Line. He loved God and serving under the Baptist faith. He also enjoyed passing out candy and making people smile.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Wright Funeral Services chapel with Pastor Benjamin Burks from Lynchburg, Virginia officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 North Michigan Ave. Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
