Edward Lee Amos, 96, of Martinsville, VA passed away Friday, October 28, 2022 at Bright Leaf Place in Danville, VA. He was born October 26, 1926 in Henry County, VA to the late Thomas Edgar Amos and Elizabeth Oakes Amos. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Myrtle Louise Amos; second wife, Frances Brown Lawrence Amos; three sisters and six brothers.

Mr. Amos served 30 years in the U.S. Coast Guard, retiring as a CW0-4.

He is survived by his daughters, Teber Lynne Amos and Terry Lee Cross; step-sons, Larry Lawrence and Barry Lawrence; grandchildren, Robyn Amos-Kroohs and Ian Amos-Kroohs; sister, Frances Lohr; brother, Hubert Amos; and sister-in-law, Marie Amos. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held privately.
