Obituaries

Hilga Sue Holbrook Logan, 84, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023, at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina. She was born September 6, 1938, in West Virginia, to the late Finis Holbrook and Megan Bessie Hylton Holbrook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Shadie Arthur Logan, Sr.

She had been employed by American Furniture Company for 22 years.

Hilga is survived by her son, Shadie A. Logan, Jr. (Linda); daughters, Elizabeth Davis and Loria Sparks; brothers, Kenneth Ray Holbrook and Finis Holbrook; sister, Burtis Clark; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 1:00 PM, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Henry Memorial Park.
