John Dillard Duncan, 85, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023, at UNC- Rockingham. He was born July 21, 1938, in Draper, North Carolina to the late George Washington and Nancy Nichols Duncan. He worked for Fieldcrest for over 40 years and delivered medicine for Eden Drug. He was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church. He loved duckpin bowling, horseshoes, and riding motorcycles.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his brother, Andy Duncan.

John is survived by the mother of his children, Ruby Duncan; his companion of 20 years, Brenda Wright; his daughter, Sharon D. Manuel (Charlie); son, Jackie Duncan (Holly); step-son, Tommy Wright (April); grandchildren, Kayla Manuel, Kristen Duncan, Wade Duncan; step-granddaughter, Alyssa Wright.

A funeral will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Lewis Harris officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Reidsville, North Carolina.
