Obituaries

Lucille Moore Hall, 99, of Spencer, Virginia, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Gibson House Hospice Care in Reidsville, North Carolina. She was born May 10, 1924, in Henry County, Virginia, to the late John Dillard Moore and Bessie Gentry Moore.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Howard Hall; daughter, Shirley Jean Hundley; son, Ernest Eugene Hall; sisters, Pauline Spencer and Mary Davis; and brothers, Allen Moore, Robert Moore, David Moore, Leon Moore, and George Moore.

Lucille was a member of Friendly Christian Church and a dedicated employee of Hanes Brand where she retired after thirty plus years of service. She was known as a hard working, loving, caring, and compassionate lady. She was an example to her family of patience, loyalty, and most of all unconditional love; she was the “Rock” of the family and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her son, Phillip “Fuzz” Hall; and sister, Rebecca Wilkerson.

The funeral will be Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, 1425 Greensboro Road, Martinsville, with Pastor A.C. Palmer officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park.
