Obituaries

Marshall Bruce Chenault, 77, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Monday, July 24, 2023, at his residence. He was born September 16, 1945, in Richmond, Virginia, to the late William Everett, Sr. and Anna Louise Chenault. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Mindy Beth Chenault; son-in-law, Jamie Curry; sister, Betty Jean Chenault; and brother, William Everett, Jr.

Marshall had been employed by American Tobacco Company for 28 years and was a member of Tri-City Baptist Church in Eden, North Carolina. He was a loving father of seven, and enjoyed hunting and fishing, and helping where needed at his church. He was a hard worker, and in his spare time enjoyed going to the beach and the lakes.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Frances Finnerty Chenault; daughters, Terri Moore (Geoff), Michelle Gregory, Mary McClinagan (Russell), and Misty Brooke Chenault; sons, Marshall “Bruce” Chenault, Jr. and Michael Bryant Chenault (Vickie); sister, Janice Kay Searle; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 2:00 PM, at Tri-City Baptist Church, 138 Romans Drive, Stoneville, North Carolina, with visitation 30 minutes prior to the service.

Graveside Service will follow at 3:30 PM at Goodwill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 4299 Morgan Ford Road, Ridgeway, Virginia, with Benny Wood officiating.

The reception will be at 4:30 PM at New Life Chapel, 221 Martinsville Loop Road, Stoneville, North Carolina.
