Samuel Lee Stone “Useless”, 70, of Roanoke, VA passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at his residence. He was born on December 19, 1952, in Martinsville, VA to the late Sallie H. Stone Deal and Reed Simmons Stone. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepfather, Arnon H. Deal. Maternal grandparents were the late Marnie Willis Herndon and Arthur J. Herndon. Paternal grandparents were the late Eva Jarrett Stone and Lee Stone.

Mr. Stone loved the outdoors, specifically nature, hunting, and fishing. He had many Harley Davidson’s and enjoyed riding them.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Terry Lee Stone; best friend, Emmet Tyler; friend, Vickie Brown; and numerous friends with whom he shared an interest in riding their Harley’s together.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services on Friday, November 10, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023, at Norris Funeral Services with Pastor David Deisher officiating. Burial will follow the service at Roselawn Burial Park.
