Obituaries

Sharon “Kim” Hudson Loudermilk, 66, of Martinsville, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at her home. She was born January 28, 1956 in Rockingham County, North Carolina, to the late Thomas M. Hudson, Jr. and Faye Lee Bird Hudson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred H. Loudermilk; a sister, Iris Hudson Johnson; and brother, Thomas M. Hudson, III.

She was a 1974 graduate of Morehead High School, and had taken college classes for a year. She was of the Catholic faith and had also attended Church of the Living Waters. She had been a private CNA for 30 plus years. She loved dogs, birds, working in flowers, her friends, and cooking. Her favorite and most famous dish was called “Company Chicken.”

Kim is survived by her daughters, Kristina Wright and Susanna Loudermilk; sisters, Pamela Cox and Marsha Corns; grandchildren, Mark Dedoming, Steven Wright, Heather Simpkins, and Jonathan Loudermilk; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Emma and Daniel Dedoming; special friends, Pam French and Angel Hayden; and several nieces and nephews.

The Memorial service will be Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will be private.
