Sonya Lee Friar Hernandez-Banda, 54, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Roanoke Carilion Memorial Hospital. She was born June 28, 1969, in Valdosta, Georgia, to the late Charles Pat Friar and Joan Benefield Frair.

Sonya enjoyed gaming and watching television shows, and she loved to cook.

She is survived by her daughters, Joanna Deloera and Ashley Jones (Victor); son Bautista Friar; sister, Donna White; and grandchildren, Aleah Jones and Jozelyn Deloera.

All services will be private.
