Obituaries

Tammie Marie Hall Dalton, 53, entered her heavenly rest Saturday, June 28, 2025, in Spencer, Virginia. She was born on September 20, 1971, in Rocky Mount, Virginia, to Janice Marie Mitchell Hall and the late Jimmy Wayne Hall.

She was of the Christian faith and attended Bible Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Franklin County High School who loved local racing and NASCAR. She was employed 10 years with Dalton Racing Engines in sales. Being outdoors brought her peace; she loved camping with her family. With a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious smile, she poured her time and energy into loving others well. Whether it was go-karting or watching her grandkids play sports, she made every day fun. She found strength in her faith, and everyone knew she had a fighting spirit, willing to do whatever it took to rise above any obstacles.

Although her earthly presence is no longer with us, those who knew and loved her the most will always remember the legacy of hope and love that she left behind. She was a loving wife to Darrell Wallace Dalton; a wonderful mother to her daughters, Alisha Holley and Whitney Woody (Darrell) and sons, Brandon Dalton (Ariel) and Bryson Nester (Lindsey); and caring sister to Jimmy Hall. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She left an indelible print on the hearts of each one: Aslynn Holley, Lennox Davis, Gracie Dalton, Ellie Dalton, David Nester, Emmie Nester, Addisyn Hunsucker, and Declan Hunsucker. Also left to cherish her memory is her lifelong friend, Kim Hale. She will be fondly remembered by her gambling buddy, Brighen Hale.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Raymond Moorefield officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery at 260 Henry Road, Ferrum, Virginia. Visitation will be held Friday, July 4, 2025, at 6:00-7:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
