Restrictive data center rules approved
HENRY COUNTY

Henry County supervisors have adopted strict regulations for any future data centers. Facilities would require rezoning, three public hearings and a special-use permit. Rules include setbacks of 500 or 1,000 feet, a 50-decibel noise limit, closed-loop cooling and water and electrical studies. The ordinance also requires emergency plans, annual noise testing and funding for decommissioning. No property is currently zoned for a data center.
