Robert Irwin is taking his ballroom experience to the next level.

The conservationist, zookeeper, and TV presenter is set to host a new Dancing with the Stars spinoff series called Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro.

At Hulu’s second annual Get Real House event in Beverly Hills, California, on April 22, Irwin was announced as the host for the highly anticipated new show, which will aim to find the next pro dancer for the next season of DWTS.

Irwin was crowned the season 34 winner of DWTS with his pro dance partner Witney Carson. The duo quickly became a fan-favorite pair as they lit up the dance floor each week on the reality competition show.

The new series will feature 12 “up-and-coming dancers who move into one house and compete in a grueling audition process, all vying for a coveted spot as a pro dancer on Season 35 of ‘Dancing with the Stars,'” Disney Entertainment Television Publicity said in a press release.

Three-time Mirrorball champion Mark Ballas and his mom Shirley Ballas, dubbed “The Queen of Latin,” will serve as judges on the show.

Returning pros will also appear as rotating mentors/guest judges.

BBC will produce the new show, while Conrad Green will serve as showrunner and executive producer.

Hulu’s realityverse came together at the Get Real House on Wednesday to celebrate some of the platform’s beloved shows and talent.

In addition to the Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro reveal, the event gave fans a front-row seat to some of Hulu’s biggest announcements, exclusive first-looks and surprise moments.

Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro will premiere July 13 at 8 p.m. EDT/PDT on ABC, with episodes available the next day on Hulu.

Allison Janney, Andrew Rannells film ‘Miss You, Love You’ lands at HBO

Miss You, Love You is headed to HBO.

The new film, which had a secret screening at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, is set to premiere to HBO on May 29. It will also be available to stream on HBO Max.

Miss You, Love You stars Allison Janney and Andrew Rannells, while Jim Rash wrote and directed it. Janney plays a grieving widow named Diane Patterson who is forced to plan her husband’s funeral with a complete stranger: her estranged son’s assistant, Jamie Simms, played by Rannells.

“As they fumble through grief and their strange, darkly funny circumstances, buried secrets and long-held resentments surface, but their partnership becomes an unlikely conduit for connection, laughter, and healing for this mother and her unexpected surrogate son,” according to the film’s official logline.

The film also stars Bonnie Hunt as Judith Bibbs, Suzy Nakamura as Kathy, Oscar Nuñez as Minister and Lisa Schurga as Nance.

“I’m absolutely thrilled! To be championed by HBO and included among their exemplary library of films and series is humbling. It’s the perfect home,” Rash said in a press release.

Francesca Orsi, the executive vice president of HBO Programming and head of HBO Drama series and films, said that “Jim Rash has crafted a film that masterfully navigates grief, family, and the weight of buried trauma with a comedic lightness that never undercuts its depth.”

She continued, “At its center, Allison Janney and Andrew Rannells deliver beautifully calibrated performances as Diane and Jamie, two people bound by loss, misunderstanding. We’re thrilled to bring this beautifully human story into the HBO Films family and can’t wait for audiences to experience it.”

Will Forte, John Cena and Looney Tunes gang star in ‘Coyote vs. Acme’ official trailer

Wile E. Coyote appears in a still from ‘Coyote vs. Acme.” (Ketchup Entertainment)

At long last, the trailer for Coyote vs. Acme has arrived.

Ketchup Entertainment has released the official trailer for the upcoming live-action and animated hybrid movie, which pokes fun at the film’s history.

Iconic Looney Tunes characters star alongside Will Forte and John Cena in the film, which “centers on Wile E. Coyote as he takes legal action against the Acme Corporation for the countless faulty products that have hindered his relentless pursuit of the Road Runner,” according to its official synopsis.

Coyote vs. Acme was shelved by Warner Bros. Pictures in 2023. In 2024, Warner Bros. Discovery wrote off $115 million of their content as part of an earnings filing that they called a “strategic realignment plan associated with the Warner Bros. Pictures Animation group.” It is presumed Coyote vs. Acme was one of the projects that was affected by the decision. Ketchup Entertainment acquired the film in March 2025.

The new trailer hints at this history through subtle nods. After showing the Warner Bros. Discovery logo toward the beginning of the trailer, the logo, which previously read “WB,” flips and changes to “WAG,” with an asterisk noting fine print at the bottom of the screen. When zoomed into, the fine print reads, “A wholly owned subsidiary of the Acme corporation.”

Later in the trailer, title cards read, “The movie Acme doesn’t want you to see.” In the trailer’s final seconds, a voice says, “The Acme Corporation is releasing this film for accounting purposes only.”

Lana Condor, Tone Bell, P.J. Byrne and Martha Kelly also star in Coyote vs. Acme. It is directed by Dave Green with a screenplay written by May December scribe Samy Burch. James Gunn and Chris DeFaria produced the film.

Coyote vs. Acme blasts into theaters on Aug. 28.

David Jonsson on his full-circle journey with prison thriller film ‘Wasteman’

David Jonsson and Tom Blyth star in ‘Wasteman.’ (James A. Demetriou)

David Jonsson has a long history with his new film Wasteman.

The prison thriller follows parolee Taylor, whose hope for a new start is jeopardized by the arrival of his new cellmate, Dee (Tom Blyth). It’s now playing in select theaters.

Jonsson stars as Taylor. Although he’s been the lead in many movies now, such as Rye Lane, Alien: Romulus and The Long Walk, he told ABC Audio that Wasteman was the first film he ever auditioned for.

“The first film audition that came through that I thought was worthwhile going for was this. And that was years ago,” Jonsson said. “I thought I did quite a good audition and heard nothing, but it turns out the film just fell apart.”

Luckily, it was able to come together several years later, and Jonsson got to play the first-ever film part he auditioned for, now with the career experience he didn’t have beforehand.

“I look back now and I’m like, ‘I wasn’t ready to do it then,'” Jonsson said. “It wasn’t the right time.”

Now, though, was the perfect time, he said, calling the journey full circle.

“As a young actor, you’re just trying to build a body of work. And if you have some choice to put the things inside your tool kit, you should be varied and find the things that actually really speak to you,” Jonsson said. “This film always did.”

And while Wasteman wasn’t made with a large budget, Jonsson said it was made with passion.

“The only way you can make a film that is doing something [like this one] is if you’re willing to put the hours into working. I think that’s a principle that I try and live by, but particularly with this, you have to embody that,” Jonsson said. “That’s the alchemy for making a film like this.”

Lady Gaga hit the red carpet for Monday night’s premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2, and as the film’s director seemingly confirmed at the premiere, it wasn’t just because she recorded a song for the soundtrack.

According to Vanity Fair, David Frankel took the stage at the New York City event prior to the movie beginning, and then revealed what he called “the worst kept secret in showbiz.” As per the publication, the secret was that Lady Gaga appears in the film as herself, “singing original music to boot.” Gaga then came onstage wearing a black Saint Laurent Fall 2016 gown, kissed Meryl Streep on the cheek and waved to everyone.

The rumors that Gaga might appear in the movie began after she was photographed while reportedly leaving the set in Milan last year.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 hits theaters May 1, with returning stars Anne Hathaway, Streep, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, as well as multiple additional celebrity cameos.
