Floyd man sentenced in DUI crash

Oscar Vidrio was sentenced to four years for permanently maiming two teenagers in a DWI crash last year.

On Friday, Vidrio was sentenced to 17 years with 13 years suspended for causing a head-on collision on Route 8 in Patrick County.

16-year-old Micah Underwood and 17-year-old Lauren Worley were severely injured in the crash, but survived.

Vidrio, of Floyd and formerly of Martinsville, had plead guilty to driving while intoxicated and permanently maiming the two.
