Obituaries

Betty Joyce Eanes, 73, of Figsboro, VA passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023 in Martinsville, VA. She was born June 18, 1950 in Danville, VA to the late Leroy Richard McBride and Betty Louise Hundley McBride Stilwell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James Leon Eanes, Sr.

Mrs. Eanes took care of her home and family as a homemaker. Joyce was a member of The First Assembly of God.

Surviving are her three children, Marie Mullins (Wesley), James Eanes, Jr. (Paula), and Tammy Clark (Tracy); sisters, Doris Young, Linda Akers, and Debbie Akers (Fred); brother, Glenn McBride; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and special friend, Walter Richardson.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at The First Assembly of God at 2:00 P.M.
