Obituaries

Chandler Kye Reffett, 30, of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at his residence. He was born July 13, 1993, in Martinsville, Virginia, to David Griffin and Meredith Reffett.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Richard and Betty Jo Reffett; an uncle, Richie Reffett; and niece, Emberly Reffett.

He was of the Christian faith, attending Gospel Road Baptist Church. Chandler graduated from Bassett High School in the class of 2012.

In addition to his parents, Chandler is survived by his sister, Ali Hylton (Adam); brother, Justin Reffett (Casey); grandmother, Maxine Mays (Steve); nieces and nephews, Asher Hylton, Aurora Reffett, Audrey Hylton, and Orion Reffett; aunt and uncle Bill and Robin Richardson; and numerous other family members and friends.

The funeral will be Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 7:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, 1425 Greensboro Road, Martinsville, with Pastor Bill Richardson officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service and at other times at the home on 1221 Westover Drive, Collinsville.
