Obituaries

Dana Edwin “Eddie” Lawson, 67, of Patrick County, VA, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Sovah Health-Martinsville. He was born on July 16, 1956, to the late James Edwin Turner and Opal Lawson Turner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Sigmon Lawson; and sister, Samata “Bea” Bevins Joyce.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Eddie is survived by his brother, Steve Lawson; two stepbrothers, James Rakes and John Rakes; nephew, Samuel Blake Weiss; fur baby, Abby Gail; special friends, Angie and Morgan; and a host of cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Goodwill Baptist Church, 19 Anthony Dr, Patrick Springs, VA 24133, on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM, with Pastor David Bishop officiating.
